On behalf of Jack, myself and the whole Primitive Films clan, I want to personally thank everyone who braved the cold and came out to our Playground Premiere on Saturday night. I am still overwhelmed and buzzing from all the genuine support we received and the very enthusiastic response after the film. I am so thankful we had a packed house. Thank you all for a very intelligent and enjoyable Q&A which I hope provided everyone with some insights into the film and its deeper meanings.

It's incredible to think that this tiny little idea - which began as a simple concept - blossomed into what is now a 35-minute film. We set out to make something uniquely Australian and to challenge the audience with shooting styles inspired by Mumblecore films, European cinema, and classic horror films. We wanted a slow-burning narrative that focused on subtext and the physical and emotional isolation of the characters. The idea was to play around with style and structure and present you with a film which immersed you in the 'world' of the characters and got you lost in the dialogue and the performances of the actors. These ideas and concepts are very close to my heart - and are the particular film techniques which I want to continue to explore in future films.

So where to from here? It's film festival time. We have high hopes for our film and will be submitting it widely. Further screenings of the film may be announced for late 2015/early 2016. And, of course, we are about to enter very early development stages for our next film - but that's all I'll say for now.

Keep your eyes open for updates and film festival announcements as they come.

Thank you again for your support. We make films for you - our audience.
